Project Description
As part of providing engineering services to aid in the surrounding development, TRUE was tasked with preparing a stormwater management plan acceptable to the City of Kamloops. The stormwater management plan recommended restricting post-development flows to pre-development rates. The stormwater management plan also recommended a detention pond to achieve the post-development flowrate restriction. Design of the detention pond comprised of the following:
- 1,500m3 detention pond
- Overflow mechanism
- Erosion protection (riprap and check dams) for downstream receiving gully
- Inlet and outlet piping
