This project was completed during the first phase of a multi-phase project for the water servicing of the PIB’s new Skaha Hills Development. During the planning stages, it was determined that the development would require a reservoir sized for fire flow protection for the initial development, with an allowance for future growth potential.
The new Skaha Hills 520 Reservoir is a 1,864m3 cast-in-place concrete reservoir and separate valve chamber. The inlet and outlet piping in the reservoir were designed to encourage uniform flow across the reservoir, eliminating the need for additional mixing equipment. This piping configuration concept was confirmed with modeling software.
TRUE was involved in the planning, design, and construction of the Skaha Hills 520 Reservoir project. The design stage involved multiple population projections and analysis of the development type to ensure that the water reservoir would meet the PIB’s needs for the Skaha Hills Development.
The project was completed on time and under budget.
